Southeast Tennessee Festivals and Events for November 2021

by | Nov 2, 2021 | Events | 0 comments

I haven’t found a lot of Southeast Tennessee Festivals and Events for November 2021 but wanted to make you aware of what I did know about. You might want to also check the lists for Middle East Tennessee and Northeast Tennessee.

Covid-19 numbers have thankfully declined but everyone should still be careful to keep them low. For your own and everyone else’s protection please wear your masks in crowded areas and follow any safety rules these events have in place. We advise checking websites or Facebook pages or calling ahead to make sure any of these you plan on attending haven’t been canceled or decided to change times and dates.

The Event List (in calendar order)

November 4th through 7th

The Hunter Museum in Chattanooga is having a Throwback Thursday on November 4th. Admission to the permanent collection will be free. Admission to the current special exhibitions Lalla Essaydi and Mediterranea: American Art from the Graham D. Williford Collection will be $5.

Southeast Tennessee Festivals and Events for November 2021 - Fried Pickle Festival

November 6th there will be a Fried Pickle Festival at the Greenway Park in Cleveland. Art, craft, direct sales, and food vendors will be there for you to do some early Christmas shopping with. There will also be a petting zoo, pony rides, a pickle juice drinking contest, and lots of fried pickles. Admission is free.

The Head of the Hooch Regatta will take place on November 6th and 7th at the Riverfront in Chattanooga on November 6th and 7th. This is one of the world’s largest rowing regattas, with typically from across the US and internationally participating. Spectators welcome. Various food, merchandise, and rowing equipment vendors will be set up at numerous locations in the area.

November 7th the Southern Adventist University in Collegedale will present its Symphony Orchestra Concert with conductor Laurie Redmer Cadwallader. Admission is free or the concert can be live-streamed.

November 27th

The Chattanooga Hungry Turkey 5K and Half Marathon Run will take place on Saturday, November 27th. You can register to participate at a discounted rate through November 22nd. Proceeds benefit the Chattanooga Sports Ministries. All finishers will receive a medal with special medals awarded to the top finishers in all 13 age groups. There is even a way to participate remotely if you sign up ahead of time, though that will mean you miss out on the finish line doughnuts.

Ending Thoughts

I’m still gathering information to add a couple of Christmas markets in Cleveland and more than one after Thanksgiving hike. I’m planning on doing a separate post that includes all the Christmas parades in East Tennesse some of which take place in November. I will try to add to this post and update information (especially about cancelations) at least once a week.

If you are the organizer or publicity manager of an upcoming event contact me at LucindaBrown@TravelEastTennessee.com to have your event added to this or any future monthly posts.

Are you planning on attending any of these Southeast Tennessee festivals and events for November 2021? Did I miss an event you would recommend others attend? Let us know in the comments.
